Signe Zoller received her Master’s Degree in Enology at the University of California at Davis. She was hired to work the harvest with a small Lake County start-up winery in 1986 and stayed 11 years. Working with famed winemaker Jed Steele, she was on-board for the meteoric rise and exponential growth of the winery we know as Kendall-Jackson. She was the winemaker for their Santa Maria Valley facility (Cambria) three years before leaving for Meridian Vineyards in Paso Robles. There she worked with Chuck Ortman becoming winemaker when he retired. In 2006 she started her own consulting business. She has been named winemaker of the year by several groups including the Central Coast Wine Growers Association, the Paso Robles Vintners and Growers Association (PRVGA, now Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance) and Mid State Fair. She is also a past president of the American Society for Enology and Viticulture and the PRVGA.
